Derek holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is a member of SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) and the Australian Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). He has over 20 years’ experience in servicing clients and managing a professional services firm.
The bulk of his experience relates to consulting to management and business owners in their pursuit of business growth and development. He has performed the role of a trusted Business Development Advisor to a range of different industries. Advice ranges from operational efficiencies, financial structure and efficiencies, business expansion initiatives, human resource management, interaction with bankers and legal advisors and general business strategy.
He has provided guidance on deal structure and assisted with negotiating transactions. He has advised on a number of different transactions up to $20million.
Derek has superior negotiation skills and has vast experience in contract review.
