Our food truck has become a beloved staple in the greater Brisbane area. Since we launched in 2017, our bus has drawn in both customers and event organizers, ensuring a reliable and consistent income stream. Here are some key figures: our gross profit stands at an impressive 83%, while staff costs account for 11%. Event fees range from 10% to 15%, depending on the occasion, and other expenses make up about 5%. This results in an average net profit exceeding 50%. For a single day event, we typically generate between $3,500 and $4,500 in revenue over a span of 4 to 5 hours. It may be tough work, but the rewards are well worth the effort.
You have the potential to earn as much as you desire. Our business holds licenses for multiple designated locations in Logan, allowing us to operate on Saturdays and Sundays when we’re not engaged in other events. This ensures a consistent income stream that others may overlook. Plus, the freedom that comes with running a renowned food truck is a significant advantage.
Our food truck has gained quite a reputation, boasting 6,200 followers on Facebook and around 1,400 on Instagram, all through organic growth. We receive far more event requests than we can accommodate with our applications.
Taking ownership of the truck opens up exciting possibilities for changing the menu. If you choose to replace our waffles with savoury options, you could potentially double your sales, although this may also increase your costs. The truck features a modular kitchen design by VanDemons, making it easy to swap out equipment as needed. Alongside the bus, which underwent an engine rebuild in 2021 and comes with a new gearbox and six fresh tires, you’ll receive a fully equipped professional kitchen. This includes two freezers (one dedicated to ice cream with six flavors), a unique whipped cream machine, two refrigerators (one being a saladette), a hot water system, and an extraction system that handles 9,000 liters of air per minute. Additionally, there’s a gas waffle iron and a fully stainless steel interior with benches and shelves. A comprehensive computer system for ordering, point of sale, and order printing is also included, and we’re here to help you customize it to fit your needs. The waffle dough recipes are available for separate purchase. The upper deck features 32 seats arranged across 9 tables. It is equipped with a sound system that includes mounted speaker units, along with three 3 x 3 metres umbrellas and professional LED lighting. Both decks of the bus are monitored by CCTV for added security. Power is supplied by two Honda EUROi70 generators, providing a total of 14 KWh. Additionally, the bus can connect to external power sources through four 15A inlets.
The truck boasts an impressive 4-STAR rating for food safety from the Brisbane Council. Additionally, the Food Business License is transferable. Our accolades include winning the BEST FOOD Award at the Mudgeeraba Show in 2018, receiving the Award of Excellence from the Catering & Restaurant Association Australia/OneMusic in both 2022 and 2023, being a finalist for the Business Award in Logan – Tourism, and being named Brisbane’s Best Cafe for the 2023 postcode 4280.
To kick off your journey successfully, we provide comprehensive training and support to navigate all aspects of running a food truck. Our assistance covers everything from management fundamentals and logistics to marketing strategies, social media engagement, supplier introductions, and technical know-how.
Regarding the bus, it has been modified to allow only the driver on board during operation, requiring an HR license. While this may seem like a drawback, it actually means you’ll need an additional vehicle for transporting supplies to the bus. Since food trucks have limited inventory, you want to avoid telling customers “no,” and our van will always be on hand to help.
Prospective buyers should be prepared for some physical demands.
