Nick Benwell was a founding partner in a Perth business, manufacturing and selling ladies shoes, factory direct, to over 10,000 customers. He sold the business after 30 years to a business migrant.
Before arriving in Perth he had acquired extensive experience in importing, trading and retailing in Johannesburg as General Manager of a fashion importer, cosmetic manufacturing and retailing group, selling fashion and international fragrances to major department stores.
He also previously worked in London for an international finance group in marketing services in the hire purchase, leasing and commercial lending areas. As a migrant himself he is fully aware of the challenges that present themselves when planning to move families to a new life in Australia and an unfamiliar business environment.
Nick was admitted to the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1976 and then to the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia in 1981.
